But, one of the most frustrating things is when you go to use your earbuds and the battery is dead. In this article, I’m going to show you how to check your earbud battery so that you can avoid that frustrating situation.
So, how to check earbud battery?
To check the earbud battery, you will need to remove the earbud from the charging case. Once the earbud is removed, you will see a small LED light on the earbud. The LED light will indicate the earbud’s battery life. If the LED light is green, then the earbud is fully charged. If the LED light is red, then the earbud is low on battery.

Step-01: In this video, we will show you three ways to check the battery life of your AirPods. You can check on your iPhone or iPad, if your AirPods are still in their charging case.
Step-02: First, check that Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone or iPad by swiping up from the bottom and checking the Bluetooth symbol is blue.
Step-03: Hold your AirPods near to the paired device and open the case. A pop-up will appear at the bottom of the screen showing the battery life of the AirPods and their case.
Step-04: If you want to check the battery life while you’re wearing the AirPods, you’ll need to enable the battery widget on the widget page. Find the battery widget and click the green plus to enable the widget. You’ll now see the battery percentage of your AirPods on your widget page.
Step-05: If your AirPods are paired with your Mac, you can view the battery life from the desktop. If you’re wearing your AirPods, you’ll be able to view the battery life on screen. Hover over your AirPods in the Bluetooth drop-down menu. You’ll see the battery life displayed here.
Step-06: If you’re not connected to any devices, you’ll be able to get an approximate reading of the battery life by checking inside the case. If it’s green here, the AirPods are over 50% charged. If it’s amber, they’re less than 50% charged.

If you’ve ever wondered how to check your AirPods battery level without taking the case out, wonder no more! Follow the steps below and you’ll be able to see how much power your AirPods have left without ever having to open the case.
1. Tap and hold any blank space on your iPhone or iPad’s home screen until the apps start jiggling.
2. Tap the plus sign in the top-left corner of your screen.
3. Select the Batteries widget and tap Add Widget.
4. Enable Bluetooth on your device.
Now, whenever you want to check your AirPods battery level, just swipe down from the top of your screen and the Batteries widget will show you how much power your AirPods have left.
