But easy fix, I went to the ACE hardware store and I got a one inch, three eighths by sixteen coarse threads bolt is which what these, these threads are.
And you wouldn’t have to take the battery out but I wanted to so you could see this better and what was going on and I also wanted to get this started where I could get it started real straight.
It’s kind of a limited area when it’s in the truck but you could eliminate getting this……taking it out and just doing it in the pickup.
And you’ll also want to get a three eighths course thread nut to put on that bolt and we’ll, I’ll show you how that works herein just a little bit.
But the idea is that this will go in deeper and catch some threads that, that are not stripped out (metal scrapping) and you don’t want to tighten it too much or go too deep ’cause you can actually put a hole in the battery and that’s what this nut is for. (metal scrapping)
We’ll actually tighten the nut to the terminal but you want to clean that off real well, your battery terminals.
I used a wire brush to clean them and some battery cleaner, get that nice and clean.
Then I also did the same thing on the truck.

If not, you may have to take that off so you can use this method, (metal scraping) but this was already like that.
And you want to clean that as well both the positive and the negative (metal scrapping) and remember when removing the battery cable you want to take the negative off first and then the positive.
And then whenever you’re installing it you want to reverse that, you want to put the positive on first and then the negative.
